The NestDivert Manifesto
There Had to Be a Better Way.
Every spring, across the UK, Ireland and Europe, swallows and house martins return from an extraordinary journey spanning thousands of miles. Guided by instinct, they return to the places where they have nested successfully before, often the very same homes, businesses, schools, churches and public buildings year after year.
For many people, their return is a welcome sign that spring has arrived.
For others, it also brings a familiar challenge.
Nests built above doorways, entrances, windows and walkways can lead to droppings, staining, increased cleaning, maintenance costs and concerns for customers, visitors and residents.
Too often, property owners only discover there is a problem once nesting has already begun. By then, active nests are legally protected, and rightly so. Swallows and house martins are remarkable birds that deserve our respect and protection.
For years, people were left feeling they had only two choices: live with the problem or look for solutions that often conflicted with their desire to protect wildlife.
We believed there had to be a better way.
NestDivert was created on a simple principle:
Protect property. Respect wildlife.
We believe those two goals should never be in conflict.
Our purpose is not to stop birds from existing. It is not to encourage harm. It is not to work against nature.
Our purpose is to help property owners prepare responsibly before nesting begins, reducing the likelihood of conflict while allowing these incredible birds to continue their natural lives.
Everything we do is built around education, preparation and respect.
We believe informed decisions are better decisions.
We believe early planning is better than last-minute reactions.
We believe honest advice is more valuable than a quick sale.
If NestDivert is not the right solution for someone, we will say so.
If the nesting season has already begun, we will always encourage people to respect the law and leave active nests undisturbed.
That is who we are.
We are committed to helping homeowners, businesses, schools, churches, farms, heritage buildings and public organisations understand the nesting behaviour of swallows and house martins so they can make informed decisions at the right time of year.
Our ambition is bigger than selling a product.
We want NestDivert to become the most trusted source of information on ethical swallow and house martin nesting management in Europe and worldwide.
We want to educate.
We want to support.
We want to help people understand the remarkable birds that share our buildings each spring.
Because when knowledge comes first, better decisions follow.
Every conversation we have…
Every article we write…
Every photograph we share…
Every customer we help…
Moves us one step closer to a future where buildings are protected, wildlife is respected, and people no longer feel they have to choose between the two.
This is why NestDivert exists.
This is what we believe.
This is our promise.
Protecting Property. Respecting Wildlife.
